Bill Kennedy, Technical Director
Mr. Kennedy is a 1963 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where
he remained following graduation to develop and teach the first
computer science course. His military service saw him through
every facet of early computing from punched card unit record
equipment through second generation computers. Since the tour
in the Navy, he has been directly involved in just about every
aspect of computing. He was a corporate staff analyst for
Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX and a data processing
manager for a Texas municipality. As a consultant he developed
the first microcomputer based local area network in Dallas in 1979.
He has been in and around internetworking ever since.
In addition to his LAN/WAN experience, Mr. Kennedy has comprehensive
understanding of system administration with emphasis on network
services and Internet connectivity. In the current venture he
serves as Technical Director and Quality Assurance Inspector. He
operates an Internet site in Texas that consists of a mixture of
vendors' equipment e.g. Sun, NCR, AT&T, Intel based PCs that all
interoperate on a high security network connecting to a medium
security network with Internet presence. He is intimately familiar
with the details of internet routing and Internet security.
